Man who helped Sanju 2.0 bludgeon CSK’s bowlers shares story- The New Indian Express

Express News Service

KOCHI: All the world saw was Sanju Samson smashing experienced bowlers like Ravindra Jadeja and Piyush Chawla out of the park during the Rajasthan Royals’ 16-run upset win over Chennai Super Kings on Tuesday.

But, only a few (if any) know about the long hours Sanju and his mentor Raiphi Gomez spent at the makeshift net facility built on the terrace of Raiphi’s residence in Thiruvananthapuram during the lockdown to help pave the way for this.

After his whirlwind 32-ball 74 that included nine sixes, Sanju had an impressive outing behind the stumps with two lightning-quick stumpings and two catches – one of which was plucked out of thin air – and picked up the Man of the match award.

Doctors express concerns regarding new, dangerous trend called the “Benadryl Challenge” | News

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) – An allergy medicine you likely already have in your medicine cabinet is now the center of attention regarding a new, dangerous online trend.

The “Benadryl Challenge” on TikTok dares teens to take a large amount of Benadryl until they hallucinate.

“I think it’s really scary and I think it’s really sad that this is happening,” said Nena Bowman of the Tennessee Poison Center.

The challenge killed a teen in Oklahoma and sent three more to the hospital in Texas. The Tennessee Poison Center has been aware of the trend/challenge for weeks, but has yet to hear of any cases here.

“It’s still actually a medication even though it’s not prescription and the directions for use are really important,” Bowman said. “If you take Benadryl in excess, it can kill you.”

Symptoms of overdose could look like extreme sleepiness, confusion and people will usually grow very agitated

“The team will be comprised of six police officers, two lieutenants, three clinicians and the clinicians’ program supervisor,” he said.

However, on Thursday, several social workers and mental health advocates gathered on the steps of City Hall voicing their strong opposition to the idea.

They believe it’s putting a band-aid on a larger problem.

Prior to addressing the media Thursday evening, the group wrote a letter to Mayor Brown and Buffalo Common Council Members.

In just one day, it got more than 160 signatures.

The letter said in part, “While embedding social workers into police departments and/or having social workers accompany police to mental health calls may appeal to the general public, it is ineffective, unsafe, and unproven to reduce police violence
