Albury Wodonga Health updates COVID-19 clinic information | The Border Mail

Albury Wodonga Health has updated its information about COVID-19 testing following confusion around weekend provision. One week after the Vermont Street drive-through clinic moved to no longer requiring appointments, the AWH website was still advising people they needed an appointment and did not list operating hours. The AWH website was updated on Monday after enquiries from The Border Mail. The DHHS ‘where to get tested’ website still shows that testing is by appointment only. “The new operating times have been updated on the AWH website and social pages, and we have also communicated to our community through a number of other platforms,” an AWH spokeswoman said. “We have also formally sent through a request prior to the changes to our COVID-19 Clinic to the DHHS and are awaiting them to update this information accordingly.” The drive-through clinic operates 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Saturday. “The clinic was operating on

Mayo Clinic is notifying more than 1,600 patients that a former employee inappropriately accessed their health records, but apparently did not retain any information gleaned from them.

The Rochester-based health system said in a statement Monday afternoon that an unnamed health care worker looked at electronic “data elements” including patient names, demographic information, dates of birth, medical record numbers, clinical notes and, in some cases, medical images.

“Access was limited in duration, and Mayo has no evidence that any data was printed or retained by the former employee,” Mayo’s statement said. Social security numbers, payment card information and bank account numbers weren’t accessed.

Mayo is not identifying the former employee, but a spokeswoman confirmed the person is a licensed health care worker whose applicable licensing boards have been notified.

The report details several ways lawmakers can work with medical schools and similar institutions throughout the state to strengthen nutrition education requirements and ensure people in the health care professions are equipped with knowledge to better serve their patients. Armed with this knowledge, physicians will be able to include basic nutrition
