Spero Health Opens Addiction Treatment Clinic in Lima and Marion, Will Offer Telehealth Visits – Press Release

BRENTWOOD, Tenn.–(Business Wire)–Spero Health, a CARF-accredited organization specializing in local, affordable, outpatient care for individuals suffering from substance use disorder, just announced it is opening 2 new clinics. The Lima, OH clinic is located at 709 North Cable Road and the Marion, OH clinic is located at 1199 Delaware Ave Suite 110. These new clinics join a network of more than 40 Spero Health locations throughout Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, Indiana, and Virginia providing care for more than 7,500 patients each month. Spero Health accepts Ohio Medicaid and most commercial insurance plans. Both clinics will open their doors Tuesday, September 29th and will offer a combination of in-person and telehealth visit options. Individuals who need addiction treatment services are encouraged to walk-in for help or can call: Lima location, 567-371-4398 or the Marion location, 740-736-2033 for more information or to schedule an appointment.

These new openings are two of multiple clinics Spero Health has opened this year in-line with organizational plans to expand regionally to address community needs for individuals to have local access to addiction treatment services close to home. “Drug overdose deaths have risen steadily through the pandemic because more people are isolated and feeling vulnerable right now. It is critical our communities have resources and access to addiction treatment services, now more than ever,” said Steve Priest, CEO of Spero Health. According to the Ohio Department of Health, 2019 was the worst year on record for drug overdose deaths and 2020 is shaping up to be even worse. Unintentional drug overdose deaths in Ohio rose about 7% in 2019 after a slight dip in 2018. Records show that more than 4,000 Ohioans died from drug overdose in 2019. “We are in the middle of an epidemic within a pandemic and Spero Health is committed to bringing all available resources to Lima and Marion in order to provide local, affordable and comprehensive care to those who need it,” said Priest.

Speaking about Spero Health, David Hayden Senior VP of Clinical Services, said, “The pandemic has aggravated psychological issues, creating higher levels of anxiety, grief and instability. Our priority is to meet individuals where they are, and tailor a treatment plan to address specific and unique needs. It is imperative that we continue to make connections with those that want help, and that we are innovative, responsive, and adaptive in delivering addiction treatment services. The use of telehealth is one way we do this so that our patients are able to have virtual appointments from anywhere they are. In a time where people are feeling a loss of connection, we want to ensure that people stay connected and can access our treatment team when they are not able to come into in the clinic.”

Spero Health will also be opening locations in Mansfield and Findlay, OH in the next several weeks, for more information please visit www.sperohealth.com.
